“We think that would be a mistake in just locking us into burning fossil fuels again for three or four more decades,” said Stephen Thomas, the centre’s energy campaign co-ordinator. #nspoli

Steve MacLellan I wonder if you or the author ever saw this video.
And there are articles saying natural gas is not a bridge energy dating back to 2016

I am angry at the CBC and mass medias for not “seriously” reporting about climate change way before 2018.
I watched the French CBC for years and barely knew anything about AGW until May 2012 when I was more into exoplanet atmosphere detection science when I heard about the situation down on Earth.
Yes, I did, metaphorically speaking, fall from the stars. Cosmology was my main (if not strange) attractor, till then.

A. Randomjack Thanks for sharing this. Personally, I stand with the Ecology Action Centre as you obviously do too. One of the projects they are trying to push through in Nova Scotia is caverns in Alton, Nova Scotia, that would store natural gas, and would be the cause of methane leaks.
I wrote an article about it, July, 2015 and posted it to my website. If you’re interested, you can read it here:

Steve MacLellan Thanks! I didn’t even know they stored that CH4 in caverns.
Says a lot about stuffing CO2 in the ground.
Ever listened to Kevin Anderson? Climate scientist who says there is not enough safe places to even store a fraction of captured CO2.
I don’t know how much CO2 would have to be captured to go to 350 ppm, but it is thousands of gigatons.
And we always only talk about CO2, we seldom see CO2eq (493ppm for 2017 writes NOAA).
Steve MacLellan how are you doingSteve
