Pictou Landing First Nation looks forward to receiving full disclosure about the current proposed funding arrangements within the context of the consultation process and to presenting its concerns about the funding to the Province.
Top on the list of concerns is the future impact of air pollution from the mill which would continue should the new treatment facility be funded. No studies have been undertaken to date on the impacts of the air pollution from the mill on Pictou Landing First Nation members, even though the community has been exposed to it for decades. We hope that this will now change.”
